RÉSUMÉ

Heritage both tangible and intangible ones - have to be considered in a defined space in order to evaluate completely. Without such spaces (as origins and defined environment) or their spatial integrity, heritage values could be changed positively or negatively.
In the research interest of heritage preservation of Halong bay, Hung temple, Ky Anh tunnel, Hanoi ancient palace, Sword lake and vicinity, Bac Ninh Love duets, and so on, we know actual problems of these project and we want to share them to the forum in order to contribute to look for a solution.
Contents of paper include some following sections:
1. Information analysis of preservation actual state of urban heritage in Hanoi and vicinity (with figures).
2. Caution and restriction of institution in current heritage protection.
3. Tools for definition of urban heritage.
4. Spatial limitation of urban heritage.
5. Proposals and changing requirements on institution systems of urban heritage protection.
6. Open questions for the forum.
